Poem in The Gay & Lesbian Review Issue #184
I am thrilled to announce that I have a poem published in the Sept/Oct 2026 issue, Issue 184, of The Gay & Lesbian Review! G&LR is such a prestigious journal, and a core cultural focal point within the national queer community, that for a nonbinary bisexual relatively new to publishing, it really means so much to me to have been selected to be a part of an issue. And what an issue to be a part of! I love the cover art chosen as well as the central theme of cruising and public

Two Senryu in Prune Juice Journal: Issue 49
I'm proud to announce that two of my senryu are included in issue 49 of Prune Juice Journal. The first line of the first senryu is "sudden chill" (on pp. 31) and the second is "tracks on the porch" (on pp. 54). It was a special issue with the theme of Animal, Vegetable, Mineral and I am in love with the publication's cover art! That autumnal color scheme goes well with my website theme haha This issue, as well as archived issues, are available to read as a free PDF download v

Poetry Reading Recordings for The Nature of Our Times award winning anthology
Since its release last September, there have been many poetry readings held in person, hybrid, and virtually by various groups for The Nature of Our Times: Poem's on America's Lands, Waters, Wildlife, and Other Natural Wonders anthology from Paloma Press. I have attended whenever I could, and I was even invited to speak at the poetry reading hosted by fellow poet Erin L. McCoy back in December! With the release of the contributor video messages I mentioned in my previous news

Video Recording for Poetry Anthology

Under the Bashō has sunsetted
In August 2025, one of my haiku (with the first line of "adoption papers") got accepted and published online by the Under the Bashō haiku journal. Last month, while searching for haiku journals open to submissions, I saw on ChillSubs that Under the Bashō had been "archived", which is ChillSubs' recent way to flag journals that are no longer active, previously dubbed "defunct". I checked and confirmed that their website was no longer active. Of course, as is good practice fo

Haiku published in MAYFLY
My haiku, beginning with the first line "gone where", is included in the MAYFLY Winter 2026 Issue 80! MAYFLY has been in publication since 1986 and it's an honor to be selected. I am in love with the cover haiku and artwork chosen for this release and I cannot wait to receive my contributor copy so I can read everyone else's work! I received $20 credit with Brooks Books for my haiku, which is the first time I've been "paid" for my work, so this is a writer's journey moment fo

"Eros" poem in Moonflake Press
My poem, titled "Eros", is out now in Moonflake Press' special 10th issue, The Affair Vol. II. Moonflake Press' first issue had the theme The Affair, so in celebration of having a 10th issue, they dedicated the theme accordingly. I really enjoyed reading Vol. I (it inspired me to submit to the Vol. II submission window!), so I've linked there as well in case you're interested. I discuss poetry revisions on a podcast
It was a pleasure to be a guest on the Work in Progress podcast for their October episode, "Revising". Stacie Murphy , author of A Deadly Fortune and The Witch's Secret , interviewed me about how I first wrote my poem "Leaves on the Tree", what the critiquing process was like with our Arlington Writers Group community, and how I revised the poem based on the feedback I received. "Leaves on the Tree" was first published in ionosphere Vol. I Issue 2 by Amplicon Press (July 20
