One of my haiku has been published online! The haiku with the first line "adoption papers" can be found on Under the Bashō's 2025 haiku page from August 5th, 2025. You can also search for me among the other USA-tagged poets published with Under the Bashō.

Matsuo Bashō (1644-1694) was the most famous Japanese poet of the Edo period, and his poetry is internationally renown. While often recognized by modern critics as a great haiku master, Matsuo is said to have personally preferred his work in the haikai no renga form. I am glad that reading work from Under the Bashō led me to learn more about the famous poet, and I will surely read Matsuo's publications someday.
