I am excited to have my poem "Leaves on the Tree" included in the print anthology for The Nature of Our Times: Poems on America's Lands, Waters, Wildlife, and Other Natural Wonders. In the words of the publisher, "The Nature of Our Times is a shared initiative, bringing together the joint efforts of Paloma Press, Poets for Science, United By Nature, and Wick Poetry Center at Kent State University, and is made possible with grant support from the Ohio Arts Council, the San Mateo County Office of Arts and Culture and its Arts Commission, and the Woodward Foundation. This anthology serves as a companion to the first national assessment of U.S. lands, waters, and wildlife".

"Leaves on the Tree" was first published in ionosphere vol. I issue 2 by Amplicon Press (July 2024) and was then accepted into the online gallery for The Nature of Our Times project (December 2024). Over 3,000 poems are featured in the online gallery, and I am so honored this poem was among the approximately 200 chosen for the print anthology that just came out (September 2025).

The online gallery for the project lives on, and the print anthology is available for purchase from Paloma Press. I have received my contributor's copy and look forward to diving into all the other contributions. It is a beautiful outcome to a lovely initiative, and I'm so proud to be a part of it.
