My haiku, beginning with the first line "gone where", is included in the MAYFLY Winter 2026 Issue 80! MAYFLY has been in publication since 1986 and it's an honor to be selected. I am in love with the cover haiku and artwork chosen for this release and I cannot wait to receive my contributor copy so I can read everyone else's work!

I received $20 credit with Brooks Books for my haiku, which is the first time I've been "paid" for my work, so this is a writer's journey moment for sure. I chose to put that credit towards 4 more copies of the issue in which I appear, so I will receive a total of 5 copies. I will keep 4 for my bookshelf and give 1 to my Mom, who has been supportive of my publications and has thus far bought her own copies of print issues my work has been in. Thank you, Mom!

How can you get a copy? MAYFLY has instructions for how to sign up for a journal subscription on their website. After a period of time, when the issue is considered a "back issue", then it's available for singular purchase (not a part of a subscription).
