When the publisher of the print anthology, Paloma Press, posted on their Instagram page that THE NATURE OF OUR TIMES was #1 in New Releases in the Ecology category on Amazon, I was shocked. I think it's still sinking in. I don't know how often such a ranking refreshes and I don't know for how long our print anthology will be up there, and even if we are not anymore, we were up there. I have to hold onto those glimmers. I'm trying to get better at that.

The Nature of Our Times is a collaborative effort, with contributions of over 200 poems about America's wonderful natural world, coordination and elevation from the editorial team and supporting organizations. Everyone who held a launch event or public reading, and everyone who have purchased the print anthology thus far, has been a part of its success. I have one poem in the anthology, "Leaves on the Tree", so I too am a part of this success. It's a beautiful anthology and I'm so glad it's doing well.

For more information on The Nature of Our Times, including how to purchase your own copy, please see Paloma Press' website: https://palomapress.org/the-nature-of-our-times/ .

"Leaves on the Tree" was first published in ionosphere vol. I issue 2 by Amplicon Press (July 2024) and then was published online in The Nature of Our Times project gallery (December 2024) before it was selected for inclusion in this year's print anthology.
